Frequently Asked Questions
No. There are no health insurance plans that cover our services – whether in or out of network. Therefore all services are “out of pocket”. The only exception is if you have a Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flex Spending Account (FSA), in which case these funds can be used.
We work with anyone age 14 and up.
We are different in a number of ways, but two important ones are 1) we utilize a program model – meaning, if we work together there is a whole package of care involving regular appointments with the doctors and coaches as part of a structured, supportive health care journey and 2) we have a unique and specialized approach to helping you balance the nervous system and stress response, which underlies many chronic health issues such as hormonal imbalances, gastrointestinal issues, etc.
We use comprehensive wellness programs with everyone we work with because healing is an unfolding process that takes place over time. If you want to get to the root cause of your health issues you must engage in a process of healing – and this takes changing things along the way.
This is not unlike doing psychotherapy or physical therapy – you go back multiple times and continue to make adjustments along the way. It is a dynamic process, which requires structure and support to help you reach the end goal.
This is very different from the standard medical model and even many holistic models of care, where you do some labs and then take a medication or static supplement protocol. There is very little healing in this sort of approach.
All chronic health conditions involve stuck patterns (e.g. of the immune system, hormones, nervous system, etc.) and if you want to truly get better, these patterns have to be shifted. This process takes place over time and requires many adjustments along the way, as the patterns continue to shift.
Therefore, with everyone who comes to us for help, we develop a roadmap of what this journey will look like.
While we would like to heal the world, we can only help those who are willing to help themselves.
Resolving your chronic health condition involves activating your body’s innate capacity to heal – and this is something that is primarily determined by your actions, habits, thoughts and emotions.
Our body knows what to do if we give it what it needs and take away things that harm it.
We will help you to understand what is going on in your body and what you can do to change it. We will give you the road map but you have to drive the car.
Therefore, we only work with those who are fully committed to making changes in themselves and their lives. Getting healthy is a process of personal empowerment and to make it happen, you must take full ownership of your life.
